Ficlet Request Meme
May. 25th, 2012 07:58 pmChoose one or a couple of prompts, and I shall attempt to write a drabble or ficlet with your muse, your chosen prompt and Hel. It can be a stand-alone ficlet or it can initiate a thread with your muse. Please state whether you want the fic to involve Hel as a child/ teen (
hospitable_hel) or as an adult (
ladyofniflheim) as not all the prompts are appropriate for her as a little thing. I may take some weeks to finish these depending on inspiration and workflow. Contact me if you have any other suggestions.

musing_way: Prompt 135: Resolution
Jan. 3rd, 2012 07:55 pmThe air outside was thick with mist, not even the constellations dotting the roots of Yggdrasil were visible. On Midgard, one year bled into the next but it hardly affected Hela; time governed the living realms, not this place. And yet, she of all the gods in her pantheon could best appreciate the transient nature of mortals. Their lives were made all the more thrilling by the awareness that they would not last. There was no time to waste on pettiness or regrets; one simply had to keep moving forward.
She had no clear goals, merely the thankless task of collecting shades who did not wish to be with her. Her existence was a moderate one but empty. She had spent much of her early life in Niflhel crying, so there were no tears left for her to shed. She had grown numb to grief but nor could she experience any true pleasure. Death was meant to instigate change and her only joy would come from indulging in that aspect of herself. Perhaps her beginning would only come at the end of everything else?
'At least I have you Sweetling.’ Hela whispered, fondling Garmr’s ears.

Nov. 26th, 2011 10:17 amI have been meaning to put this up for a while. Just so everyone knows where they stand with Hel. My rules are just common sense really, nothing too strict. None of my threaders have crossed any lines but sometimes it is better to state things explicitly just in case.

Nov. 14th, 2011 10:30 amI'm going to archive entries over a week old under one post so as not to take up too much space. Please feel free to continue tagging older entries, I understand that muses are not always available at the time of posting.
